*The Journey: Phi Iota Alpha*

New York, New York – April 16, 2014

As part of Pan American Week, Phi Iota Alpha in partnership with the
Association
of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV) <http://www.aflv.org/> is pleased
to announce The Journey: Phi Iota Alpha.

The Journey: Phi Iota Alpha is a service immersion experience that will
bring together 15 undergraduate brothers in a week of service, immersion,
cultural exploration, and development of passion and purpose in Peru.
Throughout this week our brothers will be engaging in service and cultural
immersion within a community of demonstrated need. Intentional discussion
and reflection will take place each day, as participants consider how to
continue their journey beyond the given week.

“We are very excited about this new initiative and are looking forward to
this unique opportunity for our undergraduate brothers to engage in
meaningful service learning and global immersion that will continue to fuel
our Pan Americanism ideals and global Latino perspective that we all value
as individuals and as an organization.” said, Francisco Lugo, Executive
Director of Phi Iota Alpha.

As an organization Phi Iota Alpha will be covering the cost for 15
undergraduate brothers to attend this immersion experience. The only out of
pocket expense for the undergraduate brother will be the cost of
travel. The Journey: Phi Iota Alpha which will take place in the summer of
2015.
