*PARSIPPANY, NJ* – As of its March 26, 2014 National Board meeting, Lambda
Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc. granted four new chapter charters. Three
of the charters were for the reclassification of undergraduate colonies as
chapters, and the fourth charter was for the reclassification of an alumni
colony to the status of alumni chapter. The National Board of Lambda Theta
Phi is invested with the power to grant charters to colonies that have
completed the requirements for charter as established in the Administrative
Policy Manual and as granted in the National Constitution.

The establishment of these four new chapters brings the total undergraduate
charters to 99 and the total alumni charters to 9. The three undergraduate
chapters also mark a milestone for the Fraternity, as they are the first
chapters to reach charter with the delta prefix.

Sam Houston State University Colony was founded on March 11, 2012, in
Huntsville, TX. It is a member of Texas Sector 1, and has been
reclassified as *Delta Alpha* Chapter. Delta Alpha is the 97th
undergraduate chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc.

Michigan State University Colony was founded on April 22, 2012, in Lansing,
MI. It is a member of Michigan Sector 1, and has been reclassified as *Delta
Beta* Chapter. Delta Beta is the 98th undergraduate chapter of Lambda
Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc.

San Diego State University Colony was founded on April 22, 2012, in San
Diego, CA. It is a member of California Sector 1, and has been
reclassified as *Delta Gamma* Chapter. Delta Gamma is the 99th
undergraduate chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc.

The South Florida Alumni Colony was granted colony status at the April 7,
2011 National Board Meeting. It has been reclassified as *Lambda
Iota*Chapter, and is the 9th alumni chapter of Lambda Theta Phi Latin
Fraternity, Inc.

The National Board of Lambda Theta Phi congratulates our four newest
chapters for their efforts in establishing a significant presence of the
Fraternity in their communities that upholds our fraternal values and
vision. The Board also thanks Texas Sector 1, Michigan Sector 1 and
California Sector 1 for its support of the colonies as they transitioned to
chapter status. The discipline and leadership of all brothers involved
continue to advance Lambda Theta Phi as the Leader of the Latino Greek
Movement.

The four new charters are the newest of 6 total charters granted in the
first three months of 2014.
