Save the Date: 2015 National Day of Service

In 2012, the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) launched a National Day of Service entitled, “UP! – United with Purpose/Unidos con Propósito”.  Since the creation of this initiative, it has become a key program for NALFO and NALFO Member Organizations.

The NALFO National Day of Service will take place in over 30 cities all over the country on Saturday, November 7, 2015.  The goal is to unite NALFO members and engage over 500 volunteers in an effort to support and uplift the Latina/o community.

Francisco Lugo, NALFO Commissioner of Member Services and head organizer for the initiative commented, “With seventeen Latina/o fraternities and sororities at the NALFO table, we have a significant amount of diversity, however one of the things that unites our groups is our desire to serve and give back to the Latina/o community as a whole.  Our National Day of Service is a symbolic representation of our communal commitment.”

Currently, NALFO is accepting applications for Regional and Project Coordinators. The deadline to apply is Saturday, August 8, 2015 by 11:59pm EST. Applications are available here.
