Be Part of our 7th Annual National Day of Service

We are pleased to announce details for NALFO’s 7th Annual National Day of Service (NDOS). This year the NDOS will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018. Help us make this year our best yet by joining the planning team as a Regional Coordinator or Project Coordinator. Our 2018 goals are:

  • 25 Project Sites  (*we need at least 25 project coordinators for this!)
  • 500 NALFO Volunteers
  • 1,500 Service Hours

The deadline to apply for Regional Coordinator will be Wednesday, July 25 and Project Coordinator will be on Tuesday, July 31. With that said, we will have a rolling application process just in case we miss anyone and to help us achieve our goals.

Regional and Project Coordinators Application

Regional Coordinator (RC)

Regional Coordinators will be responsible for managing all Project Coordinators within their designated region and will serve as the primary liaison between NALFO, Project Coordinators, and volunteers. Duties include assisting Project Coordinators identify worthy nonprofit partner/s, engaging local NALFO members, and assessing the success of the projects post-completion within the region.

Eligibility: Any alumni member of a NALFO member organizations.

Project Coordinator (PC)

Project Coordinators will be responsible for the design and execution of a project within one of the regions and will serve as the primary liaison between NALFO, nonprofit partner organization, and volunteers. Your duties include identifying a worthy nonprofit partner/s, engaging local NALFO members, and helping to evaluate the success of the project post-completion.

Eligibility: Any alumni or undergraduate member of a NALFO member organizations.

Tentative Timeline

  • July 1, 2018: Send email/call for Regional and Project Coordinators
  • July 25, 2018: Deadline for Regional Coordinator
  • August 1, 2018: Regional Coordinator Appointments confirmed
  • July 31, 2018: Deadline for Project Coordinators
  • August 7, 2018: Project Coordinator Appointments confirmed
  • August 8, 2018 : Regional Coordinator Conference Call
  • August 25, 2018: Deadline for Project Ideas
  • August 29, 2018: Regional Coordinator & Project Coordinator Conference Call #1
  • September 1, 2018: Announce all project locations to the public
  • September 12, 2018: Conference call #2 review projects, next steps, and promotion

    • Wednesday, October 3, 2018: Conference Call #3 (Updates and review)
