The Executive Board of the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations (NALFO) condemns the senseless killings, racist aggressions, and police brutality against Black Americans as witnessed by millions across the country and the world.

As culturally-based organizations rooted in the racially and ethnically diverse Latino/Latinx heritage, we have a deep and personal connection with our Black Hermano/a/xs. We see you, we feel you, and we are standing by you. We validate your emotions of anger, sadness, and distress, and we will continue to ensure you have a space and presence within our organizations. We will not tolerate anti-Blackness. We will not tolerate racist or violent actions.

Below you can find the national statements on this critical social justice movement released by our member organizations.

We encourage all of our members, from executive leadership to newly initiated members: take the time to review each statement released by our nationally recognized organizations and use this opportunity to collaborate across our Greek-letters, standing united to challenge the oppressive systems that have led us here today. Whether at home or in the streets we ask you to lead your community with honesty and integrity.

For our members participating in activism, please take safety precautions and be familiar with your civil rights. Ensure information you choose to distribute is accurate and unbiased. We encourage you to support local Black advocacy groups and continue to share ways we can educate ourselves and others.

Our organizations were built on the cornerstones of cultural awareness and we come together to declare that Black Lives Matter. We will continue to stand by each other and use our influence and positions of leadership to demand change, educate ourselves and our communities, bring awareness, and support one another as a NALFO United against racism.
